Aquaporin4 protein - 429-0P

Aquaporin4 is a water-specific channel in the blood brain barrier
control protein
Cat. No.: 429-0P
Amount: 100 µg
Price: $105.00
Cat. No. 429-0P 100 µg protein, lyophilized. For reconstitution add 100 µl H2O to get a 1mg/ml solution in PBS. Then aliquot and store at -20°C to -80°C until use.
Control proteins should be stored at +4°C when still lyophilized. Do not freeze!
Applications

Immunogen Recombinant protein corresponding to AA 249 to 323 from mouse Aquaporin-4 isoform 2 (UniProt Id: P55088-1)
Matching antibodies 429 004, 429 006, 429 011, 429 011BT, 429 008, 429 009
Remarks

This control protein consists of the recombinant protein (aa 249-323 of mouse Aquaporin-4 isoform 2) that has been used for immunization. It has been tested in preadsorption experiments and blocks efficiently and specifically the corresponding signal in Western blots. The amount of protein needed for efficient blocking depends on the titer and on the affinity of the antibody to the antigen.

Background

Aquaporin4, or AQP4, also known as Mercurial-insensitive water channel (MIWC), is a member of the aquaporin water channel family. This osmoreceptor regulates body water balance and mediates water flow within the central nervous system.
